808 Consulting was founded in 2004 by Chris Mosetick to serve a niche group of small business owners. Since 2000 the Web and Internet have changed drastically. At full force 808 Consulting has been going against the grain of the well established web hosting industry. As large corporations have assembled large data centers to store vast amounts of data, 808 has been working to reverse the process of commoditization with regards to the web, the small business, and the consumers web presence.  Many groups and organizations want you to believe the web is something that has to be “somewhere else”.  However, the web should and can be in everyones home or business, on the computers they already own. …Not a server at an unknown location.

Paying a web hosting company to host a website was a perfectly fine method for the web of yesterday. That methodology is outdated to the minds of 808 Consulting, yet still firmly planted in almost everyone else’s. As high–speed Internet connections become common place and the average computer becomes more powerful, it is apparent that these “basic computers” are cut out for much more than just browsing the web and playing games. In fact, they are capable of hosting powerful websites too.

808 delivers software and processes that help small business, but also the consumer market as well.  808 is proud to be a pioneer in getting back to basics with the web.

Our mentality: “The web should not be many computers talking to a few web servers, but rather, many computers configured as web servers talking to each other.”
